International Partners
Xia Ling, China
Xia Ling has owned a Pacific Rim consulting firm for more than 20 years that specializes in governmental relations, business migration and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. Based in Shanghai, she also has offices in Taipei Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Los Angeles. Fluent in both English and Chinese, she has led trade missions and promoted tourism between China, Taiwan and the U.S. for more than 25 years. She now resides in China to represent companies and help establish their business and branding in the Asia Pacific market. One of her clients is The Coffee Beanery Ltd., the second largest American coffee chain in U.S. She serves as the President and CEO for their Greater China market and has opened almost 60 stores in more than 15 cities throughout China.
Eva Muraya, Kenya
Eva Muraya, CEO of Color Creations Ltd, the first (woman-owned) advertising and branding business to be ISO 9001:2000 certified in East and Central Africa, has been recognized in both her community and internationally for her business innovation and leadership. Before starting her own business in 2001, Eva had more than 15 years of top management experience for companies such as FedEx and The Standard Group, in sales, marketing, advertising and communications. Her business leadership has earned her a variety of awards and prestigious appointments. At the global level, Eva’s remarkable entrepreneurship and business acumen saw her selected in 2006 by the US State Department to represent Kenya in a premier U.S. government-sponsored program dubbed the Fortune/State Department International Women Leaders Mentoring Partnership.
Eva co-founded the Kenya Association of Women Business Owners which she currently serves as chairperson. She also serves on the Vital Voices African Board of Advisors, an initiative of Vital Voices Global Partnership – a global women’s leadership organisation - in which she serves on the economic and education portfolio.
Runa Magnusdottir, Iceland
Runa Magnusdottir has been an entrepreneur business owner for over 20 years. When new opportunity arose, spring 2007, she redefined her future and with her passion to empower women she founded a new company to form a global community site for women entrepreneurs, www.connected-women.com. Runa received the EU WIIN 2007 Special Recognition Award in Berlin, Germany June 2007. She is a board member for FKA “The Icelandic Association of Women Entrepreneurs”. Runa is an ACC Executive Coach from ICF and a Passion Test Facilitator. She has given workshops to women organizations nationally and internationally.
